Acceptable Use Policy

1. Account integrity

• One account per person. No shared accounts, no account selling or transfer.
• No operating additional accounts to rate your own projects, evade a block, or evade a suspension.
• You must be 18 or older. Accounts found to be under 18 are closed.

2. Automation and rate limits

• No scripted or automated rating. Ratings must come from a person who actually looked at the project.
• No scraping the site. If you want the data you can export your own from Settings; there is no licence to bulk-collect other people's.
• Project submissions are capped at three per account per day. Ingest API keys are per-project and may be rate limited or revoked if abused.
• No load testing, denial-of-service, or deliberately expensive query patterns against our infrastructure.

3. Ingest API

• Send only metrics about the project the key belongs to. Fabricating figures to inflate a health score is a violation, and figures pushed through the API are labelled Verified to users — misusing that label is misleading them, not us.
• Keep your key secret. Keys are stored as hashes and cannot be recovered; if one leaks, revoke it and generate a new one.

4. Security research

Testing for vulnerabilities is permitted only against your own account and your own projects, without degrading service for others, and without accessing anyone else's data. Report anything you find to privacy@meshsail.dev before disclosing it. Do not use a real vulnerability to access real user data — demonstrate it and stop.

5. Collaboration and repositories

• Do not use team access to introduce malicious code, exfiltrate secrets, or damage a repository you were trusted with.
• Do not attempt to circumvent branch protection rules configured through MeshSail, or pressure others to remove them.
• Credit your collaborators honestly. The audit trail exists partly so contributors have a durable record of what they built.

6. Enforcement

Depending on severity and history we may: reverse ratings, hide or remove content, revoke API keys, restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate it. Serious cases — in particular malware distribution, fraud, or credible threats — may be referred to law enforcement.

7. Reporting a violation

Use the report action available on every project card, profile and message. For copyright, use the DMCA process. For anything urgent involving risk to a person, email support@meshsail.devwith “URGENT” in the subject.
